Welcome to Letter Box Hamper, a team of dedicated foodies who create delightful hampers that are filled with an array of luxury British food and drink, beautifully wrapped and perfectly sized to conveniently fit through your letterbox.
Their hampers are packed with some of the finest quality British food and drink and rarely seen on supermarket shelves. All the produce has been carefully selected to make each hamper unique, as the team clearly enjoy and take considerable care in visiting the producers, tasting every product and putting each hamper together.
Letterbox Hamper really does give credence to the adage ‘good things come in small packages’ offering produce such as the UK's only homegrown tea from the Tregothnan Estate in Cornwall, the UK's only postable cheese, biscuits and chutney letter box hamper, Plymouth Gin, jars of heavenly fruit preserve from Boddington's Berries and squares of Willie’s Cacao chocolate, to name just a few. All nestling happily together in a perfect little box wrapped in traditional packaging and stamped with a personal message.
How does a Hamper fit through a Letter Box?
The Letter Box Hampers are designed to fit through all standard size UK letter boxes. Contents are carefully selected and packaged to ensure that all the items you might expect in a traditional hamper are available, but without the additional expense, delivery charges and waste often associated with bigger hampers.
The inspiration for Letterbox Hamper came about when founder Jonathan Winfield decided to embark on a similar crusade to MasterChef Gift Card and raise the profile of local artisan food and drink producers.
Letter Box Hamper's west country base has always been synonymous with fine food and drink, from as far back as 1900 when Plymouth Gin was shipping 1000 cases a week to New York, since then it has given its name to a number of culinary specialities such as Devon cream tea (involving scones or rather Devonshire Splits), jam and clotted cream and a wealth of tasty, creamy cheeses.
Jonathan has now expanded his culinary quest across the nation, in search of high quality independent British food and drink from the rest of the UK. He's most often found travelling the length and breadth of our nation, sampling and tasting the best regional produce and getting to know the incredible personalities who make them.
